Full Tilt Announces Online Poker Series VIII

Full Tilt Poker has announced its forthcoming exciting poker series due to take place in May 2008.

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) is scheduled to take place for the eighth time from 7-18th May 2008. Full Tilt boasts over $10 million in guaranteed prize money at this prestigious series that is expected to include twenty four separate tournament events.

The original FTOPS was introduced in August 2006 offering $1 million of guaranteed prize money at eight different events. The FTOPS has proved to be very popular and successful and the growth of this event has been remarkable as is demonstrated by the large amount of prize money offered at next month's series.

The FTOPS hosts many delights for its winners including prize money and entry to the FTOPS Tournament of Champions for poker gamers that reach a final table at the FTOPS. In the Tournament of Champions that is scheduled to take place on May 24, 2008, the new table winners together with past FTOPS table winners will battle it out for the major prize at this event that is a seat at the main event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Full Tilt contains a team of poker pros including top names such as Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, Jennifer Harman, Phil Gordon, Erik Seidel and others. One of the exciting elements of the FTOPS is that each separate event is hosted by one of the Full Tilt poker pros. A schedule for the different events at FTOPS has been announced, although some of the events are still listed as 'mystery' tournaments.

As an example of a couple of the delights in store, event # 21 to be held on May 17th will be a $2,500 + $120 NL Hold'em 2 day event offering guaranteed prize money of $1.5 million. Event number 4, scheduled to be held on May 9th will be a $200 + $16 Pot Limit Hold'em event offering $200 K in guaranteed prize money and will be hosted by Marco Traniello. It is reported that the main event due to be held on May 18th will be a No Limit Hold'em $2 million event hosted by Jennifer Harman.
