Project 1500

Week #12. The first positive move

ROI = -0.3%
ITM = 40.3%
Total tournaments - 77
$/Tourney = -$0.01

Results have improved. In the positive zone, without bonuses, I have not yet left. However, it was selected closely. This should be gladding.

If you accordingly examine that, of which I did this. Then I began to play more tightly in average and late stages when my stack is more than 10BB. Thus, I play aggressively as much as possible with a small stack. This tactics yields its results. I usually play on 4 tournaments at a time, finishing two of them in money.

Week 10. No Limit Texas Holdem SNG Tournaments: How to Activate the Push-Fold Ordnance

ROI = -3.8%
ITM = 39.1%
Total tournaments - 69
$/Tourney = -$0.08
Final bankroll = $49.15

As usual the problem is the still the bubble game. When there were already 4-5 players my stack was small enough. But was it small enough to move all the checks to the middle of the table?

In the professional players' blogs and at the forum 2+2 I found two opinions: start stacking everything as soon as you have 15BB left; or move all the checks to the middle of the table as you have 10BB or less left.

Week #8: Texas Holdem SNG ROI Simulations

Current stats:

Tourneys played: 49
Profit: $8.55 + $5 from bonus account at Full Tilt Poker
ROI: 7.76%
ITM: 40.82%
$/tourney: $0.17
$/hour: $0.41
Max OOTM streak: 11

There was my largest OOTM streak in the October. I lose 11 tourneys successively.

Week #4: Two Fatal Sit And Go Errors

Weekly stats: Start bankroll was $68.90. Game is Full Tilt Poker 1 Table SNG $2+$.25. I've played 6 tourneys with ROI equal 33.33%. ITM is 66.67%. There were 2 second and 2 third places. Weekend bankroll is $73.40

Overall stats: 24 tourneys were played. ROI is 43.33%. ITM is 58.33%.

Low limit sit-and-gos are very easy to play. As you can see in my stats I have good enough ROI and ITM. But why so many peoples loose money playing SNGs? Looking trough history data I’ve found some common errors that other players do.

Week #3: incredible ROI

Weekly stats: Start bankroll was $50.90. Game is Full Tilt Poker 1 Table SNG $2+$.25. I've played 8 tourneys with ROI equal 100%. ITM is 75%. But I've won 2 tournaments! Weekend bankroll is $68.90

Overall stats: 18 tourneys were played. ROI is 46.67%. ITM is 55.56%.

There was one very interesting tourney there I was in terrible situation with 55 chips and 150/300 blinds. There were only 3 players in game. But I’ve won $5.4 instead $3.6. Cause I were play very aggressively. If your stack is less than a big blind, you have to go all in with any two cards.

Week #2: Sit and Go and other adventure

Start bankroll was $50.90. Game is Full Tilt Poker 1 Table SNG $2+$.25. I've played 4 tourneys with ROI equal 0%. ITM is 25%. But I've won one tournament! Weekend bankroll is $50.90

Hm. Interesting stats. I won one tourney but was knocked out on bubble three times. Do I play too aggressively? No. I think I did some mistakes playing sngs. But these mistakes explain only one loose.

Week #1: My Sit and Go tournaments strategy faults

OK. Let me show you some result.

Start bankroll was $50. Game is Full Tilt Poker 1 Table SNG $2+$.25. I've played 6 tourneys with ROI equal 6.67%. ITM is 50%. But I've won no tournaments! Weekend bankroll is $50.90

That week was not a poker week. I've meet two very interesting young woman. And of course I had no much time for poker. That's why I've played only 6 sngs.

But these tourneys show some faults in my sit and go strategy.

Project 1500

I love some educational reality show that BBC shows some times. But there is no poker reality show. I'm not BBC producer, but I can start own poker show :)

I name it "project 1500". The goal of this project is to build $1500 poker bankroll playing one table SNG tournaments.

I'll start with $50 bankroll. I will play SNGs in Full Tilt Poker. My start buy-in is $2+$0.25.

Some interesting hands, opinions and links will be posted here and on 2+2 forums.
